Located in a quiet community near the Yampa River and the base of the Steamboat Ski Resort, Villas at Walton Creek # 404 by Mountain Vacation Lodging offers you great quality, a convenient location, and affordable prices. This condo has an open layout, vaulted ceilings, and has seen many recent updates, with even more occurring right now. The new owners of this condo are in the renovation and interior design business, and have plans to address the few areas where this condo isn't quite top notch. The bathrooms will see renovations, the bedrooms will have new paint and flooring, and there will be upgrades to the beds, bedding, and furniture. With quality finishes, a private garage, community hot tubs, playgrounds, frequent free city bus service, and sidewalk trails connecting you to the places you want to go, this condo is a great choice for your Steamboat vacation. The Property:
The main living area is an open concept layout which combines the living, dining, and kitchen areas into one large space. Beautiful hardwood floors flow throughout the room, and vaulted ceilings give it a very spacious feel. This is a really nice place to relax and enjoy the company of your group after a day out and about. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, solid slab granite counters, and a large island with bar seating. A new dining table for 6 and even nicer living room furniture, including a sleeper sofa. The living room will retain the best features, including the large HDTV, the gas fireplace with granite surround, and the ceiling fan. Off the living room, you'll find a large deck which is a great shady spot to relax on warm summer afternoons. When the leaves drop, ski season guests will have peek a boo ski area views to enjoy. Down the hall you'll find 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is a little larger, easily accommodating a new King bed. With a walk in closet in this bedroom, the dresser is unnecessary, and will be removed. The large HDTV you see in the photos will be wall mounted. This room will receive new flooring to replace the older carpet and new paint to brighten things up a bit. The private bathroom within bedroom 1 already has a beautiful large vanity with granite counters and an under-mounted sink. The second and separate half of this bathroom will see the renovations, which will include removal of the glass shower doors and replacement of the tile surrounding the bathtub. Bedroom 2 has a Queen bed, which is being replaced with a newer Queen bed that will sit on a new bed frame, including a headboard. The room will be repainted and will also get new flooring to replace the older carpet. Across the hall is laundry and the second bathroom. Again, the bathroom already has a nice vanity with granite counter and under-mounted sink. So again the bathroom will see renovations to the bathtub area.
Location:
The Villas at Walton Creek have a very convenient location. From here, it is a short walk to various attractions, including numerous restaurants, shops, activities, even groceries. You can walk to Casey's Pond, the Yampa River, the Core Trail, Burgess Creek Trail, and best of all, the heart of the mountain village, the base of the Steamboat Ski Resort, Gondola Square. You don't have to walk, though, as Steamboat's renowned "free bus" picks up right across the street, and the Gondola Transit Center is only 4 stops away. You might want to walk, though, as the Burgess Creek trail is very pleasant and a good warm up before you hit the ski or bike trails. Appropriately named, it follows Burgess Creek and leads you right to restaurants, shops, the Gondola, ski school, and more. The location is also quiet. The community is made up of numerous 6-unit buildings, nicely spaced out, with mature landscaping, open spaces, and common area amenities such as the hot tubs, picnic area, and playground.
Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions and answers to any specific questions you might have. When you arrive, you'll enjoy contactless 24/7 check in at the property itself. Accessing the condo will require one flight of indoor stairs (from the garage) or one flight of outdoor, covered stairs (to the front door). Once you're inside, the condo is laid out all on one level. Free parking for two vehicles is included at this condo. This includes one heated indoor spot in the garage, and one outdoor uncovered spot immediately in front of the garage. There is a limited amount of overflow parking in the neighborhood so we ask that you only bring a maximum of two vehicles. The garage is not massive. Large trucks or SUVs may not fit. Please note, trailers are not allowed, per HOA guidelines. If you plan to bring one, there are options for parking them nearby. Contact us for details.
