The "Red Hawk Nest" is a pet friendly single-family home with a private hot tub in the Mountain Village area of Steamboat Springs. If you are looking for a nice quality home with a private hot tub, comfy furnishings, and plenty of space, you've found it. Perfect for families or friend groups working remotely, with a desk in each room and a fast, reliable WIFI connection.The free city bus picks up and drops off about 100 meters from the home, so getting to and from the ski resort and around town is easy. Please note, this beautiful home is in a residential area, with year-round local neighbors. We seek courteous guests and responsible pet owners only who will respect the character of this family-friendly neighborhood. The Property:
When you enter this home you are immediately impressed by the front room. It features two stories of windows surrounded by river rock. The half hex or bay window shape lets in lots of natural light and frames views to the north and west that include Emerald Mountain and Rocky Peak. Look up and you'll see Thunderhead Lodge at the top of the gondola.This charming front room is your dining room. Adjoining the dining room is the primary living room, which features a large and comfy sofa, with pullout Queen bed and chaise lounge, facing a large wall mounted 4K TV. The dining room also has a nice view of the TV, which is great for those nights where you're playing board games or cards while keeping an eye on a sporting event. The living room is equipped with a Google Home Assistant connected to the thermostat (say, “OK Google, set the temperature to 68”), keyless entry front door and Spotify. The large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Some features include a stainless steel fridge with filtered water, large island with gas range and oven, double basin sink with bay window, and a peninsula with bar seating. It has lots of space on the granite counters and there's even a bench where you can relax and keep your chef company. Off the kitchen is another living area, or den. The den is very cozy and inviting, with its warm gas fireplace, leather sofa, log cabin accent wall, and a couple of armchairs. The main level of the home also includes a half bathroom, laundry room, a large coat closet, and garage access, but perhaps best of all, right out back is a large deck with the private hot tub and a big Traeger BBQ grill. On the wall by the hot tub there are hooks for your towels and over the hot tub is a pergola with string bulb lighting. The back yard is a perfect size for kids or dogs, nice and flat.

The upstairs level of the home includes all 3 bedrooms and both of the full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is a true suite and feels like a retreat. It features a King sized bed, a desk, dresser, loveseat, large walk in closet, and a private en suite bathroom. The bathroom has dual vanities, heated floors and a travertine tiled shower. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are similar to one another. Each has a Queen sized bed and a desk. Bedroom 2 features an armchair and dresser while Bedroom 3 features better mountain views and a large, shelved closet with hanging space. The full bathroom for these two bedrooms includes a bathtub and is easily accessible from the hallway.

Location:
This home is found at the end of Red Hawk Court, which is a quiet residential Cul de Sac in the mountain village area. The free city bus picks up right at the intersection of Red Hawk Court and Whistler Road, about 100 meters from the home. There is no need to drive and park at the ski area. The bus will have you there quicker! From the ski area you will have a quick easy ride home or you can stay on the bus to head to the grocery stores or downtown. Right down the road from the home you'll find Whistler Park. This large park is child and dog friendly with seasonal off leash areas and trails that border Walton Creek as it flows towards the Yampa River. For kids, the park has a playground and large fields that are ideal for ball play or frisbees. The Yampa River Core Trail extends along Walton Creek to Whistler Park and you can pick it up right down Stone Lane. The Core Trail follows the Yampa River into and through Downtown Steamboat Springs. It's a paved trail that is ideal for walking, strolling, jogging, or biking.

Arrival, Access, and Parking:

Accessing this property does require going up a few stairs. The bedrooms and full bathrooms are all upstairs but there is a half bathroom on the main level. For parking, the home has a large 2 car garage with plenty of additional space for bikes, skis, or other gear. The driveway also has plenty of space for parking if you plan to have a 3rd vehicle, or even a trailer. Please note, parking on the street is not allowed.
