Storm Meadows Club A 314 by Mountain Vacation Lodging offers an ideal location with a plethora of on site amenities and comfortable, tasteful furnishings. This location is ski in ski out with direct access to the national forest for summer hiking or biking. Onsite amenities include a heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, tennis court, saunas and locker rooms. The condo is on the third floor and features a gas fireplace, leather sofa, large HDTV, and a fully equipped kitchen. Please read on for more details.

The Property:
The condo is all on one level. When you enter, you'll find a bench where you can sit down and remove your shoes or ski boots. There are also coat hooks and built in storage cubbies. Throughout the condo, you'll find that the ceilings are nice and high, with tongue and groove wood paneling and large exposed beams that have been painted white to brighten up the space. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all one large space where even larger groups can gather together in comfort. On cool summer evenings and during the colder seasons of the year, you'll really love the warmth of the gas fireplace. The dining table seats 6 and the kitchen is fully equipped for those who want to cook, including pots, pans, dishes and utensils. You might even find some spices, oils, or other basics waiting for you in the cabinets. Bedroom 1 is a good size, easily accommodating a King and matching bedside tables as well as a chest with HDTV. This first bedroom is a suite, with a private bathroom. Bedroom 2 has 2 Twin beds and a beautiful barnwood accent wall that reminds you of the rustic western nature of the Steamboat Springs area. This bedroom also has a reading chair, dresser, and HDTV. The bathroom for this bedroom is located right across the hall, allowing easy access from the bedroom as well as the living room, a nice feature for groups who have someone using the sleeper sofa. This condo also has a small outdoor space. Off the living room, you have a partially covered balcony. From here (and inside) you can admire views of Buffalo Pass, Fish Creek Canyon, and Pioneer Ridge.

Location:
This location is great in any season. If you're here in spring, summer, or fall, you'll have direct access into the Routt National Forest. You can go hiking or biking from this condo. Keep an eye out for wildlife. This part of Steamboat, near the forest as well as Burgess Creek, is prime habitat for moose and bears. During ski season, the hike and bike access becomes ski in ski out access. Just ride down the elevator, grab your skis or boards from the heated indoor ski & snowboard locker room, take 5 steps out the door, pop on your skis or board, and off you go! A short beginner level ski access trail leads down to the groomed Right O Way ski trail and the ski area base. Coming home for lunch, for a break, or at the end of your ski day is easy too! Just head down the Right O Way ski trail and veer right onto the Storm Meadows Ski In Access trail. The trail and signs will lead you right back to the building! The ski out is nearly flat, slightly downhill. The ski in is also nearly flat with some undulations. Skiers may need to use their poles here and there, while snowboarders may need to take out one foot to push and skate. If you don't want to ski in, or prefer to finish your ski days with some apres ski drinks and food at the base area, go for it. The HOA provides a shuttle that loops back and forth to the Gondola Transit Center throughout the ski season, so it is easy to hop on and ride back to the condo. More info on this shuttle is below.

The Amenities:
This property also comes with "club" amenities. Besides the ski locker room, the building also has its own hot tub, which faces southwest for great sunset views. If you exit the front door of the building, you'll find the clubhouse straight ahead, about 125 yards away. The clubhouse has an attendant, a small lounge area, and dual locker rooms with restrooms, showers, and saunas. The clubhouse provides direct access to the heated pool and hot tub area. Even the pool deck is heated, keeping it free of snow in winter months. The upper level of the clubhouse has a nice large fitness center and provides access to the tennis court. Also, in summer, the HOA brings out sunbathing loungers and tables with umbrellas. These facilities are really nice to have when you're not out exploring the surrounding areas or taking part in the many events and attractions of Steamboat. Who doesn't want to hop in the pool or a hot tub after day of adventure?

Shuttle Service and Getting Around:
In the summer, pretty much everyone will want to have a car with them. How else would you get to and from all the wilderness areas, parks, rivers, lakes, and national forest trailheads? In ski season, guests will love this location, and the fact that you probably don't need a car! That's because in ski season, the development has a free shuttle service. During the day, it loops back and forth to and from Gondola Square, the heart of the mountain village. From there, you can easily walk throughout the mountain village, or hop on the free city bus for a ride anywhere in town. Many of the ranches and attractions or winter activities outside of town, such as snowmobiling or the Strawberry Park Hot Springs, offer a tour option where they'll come pick you up. So you have lots of options outside of renting or bringing a car. If you're planning to head out to explore town during ski season, at night, that's when you might need to make use of one of Steamboat's taxi options. Fortunately, for guests at this condo, you probably won't need transportation much at all. Once you have your skis or boards, starting your day is as simple as getting yourself ready and strapping on your skis or board!

Arrival, Access, and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions and answers to any specific questions you might have. When you arrive, access is easy. There are zero stairs between the parking lot and the building entrance. Once inside, you can take the elevator or stairs up one floor to the condo. If you'll have a vehicle of your own, the parking is an outdoor lot and spaces are not assigned. Sorry, trailers are not allowed, per HOA guidelines, but if you plan to bring one, there are options for parking them off site. Contact us for details.

** Please note, the development's shared facilities, including the pool & hot tubs, are not available 24/7. They are seasonal and sometimes close for maintenance or cleaning and can not be guaranteed to be available for your use. In a typical year, they are open all ski season and then again from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. If you are visiting between the end of ski season and Memorial Day, or between Labor Day and Thanksgiving, please contact us to confirm if they will be open during your dates.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. ** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on.
